PEGGY GERKIN IS HONORED BY THE MCHENRY COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION AND PRAIRIE STATE LEGAL SERVICES

On May 27, 2008, Peggy Gerkin, partner at Franks, Gerkin & McKenna, P.C. was honored by the McHenry County Bar Association and Prairie State Legal Services, Inc.
Peggy was named one of the three 2007 award winners for her assistance in legal aid programs. The award was in recognition of her outstanding volunteer spirit. Peggy's dedication in volunteering her time for pro-bono hours each year was honored and applauded by all.
In commenting on why she makes time for pro-bono work, Peggy explained, "I went to high school in Peoria three or four years after desegregation. I was bussed to the South side of Peoria and I went to school with armed guards in the halls. I saw a lot of kids who were much less fortunate. It makes you realize how lucky you really are."
The FGM Law Office is proud of Peggy for her many legal aid contributions and our staff joins the McHenry County Bar Association and Prairie State Legal Services in applauding her on a job well done.
